SMB Lavender Oil

(for hair, skin and massage)

-2 cups of olive oil

-1 cup of dried lavender oil

-1 airtight container

-I bottle

I started with a base oil. Since my primary goal for this oil hair usage. I used olive oil but you can use any type of oil to make this happen. Grape seed and safflower oils are two cost-effective solutions that work well on your hair and skin and you can cook with them too.

I found that olive oil was the best for my hair type. It’s inexpensive and has multiple uses as well. You can go to any local store and get a nice size for about $15. I suggest the store brand, of course.

         OK so let’s begin

You will only need 2 cups of olive oil, meaning you’ll have plenty left for lots of other stuff (hair, skin, food).

Next, you will need some dried lavender flowers. You can a 1 pound bag on for $12.  You will only need 1 cup and again have plenty left over for other great stuff like teas, and lavender water, which both are great for relaxing and unwinding.

Now mix the oil and the flowers together and let set. I suggest an airtight container.  I let mines set for 4 weeks, preferably near a window, so it gets lots of sunlight.

After a month, open the container. IT WILL SMELL SO GOOD

That in itself is a spa moment. Take a moment to ENJOY the smells.

Next, strain the contents of the airtight container with a cheesecloth into a bottle of your chose.

That’s it. Now go turn your home into a spa. Your kids will thank you for it 😉
